I know that Alloy Plate is used for leveling up crafted items, so where are the best places to look?
The alloy plate can be difficult to come by which means you have
to farm it if you want any chance of advancing in your crafting skill. To
answer this question I'm going to discuss a few of the best places to find
Alloy Plate.
The first place is by far one of the most popular farming areas,
and that's Kharanos where nearly every horde member will farm for it. You can
camp this particular spot for 1 hour or so and get 40-60 alloy plates along
with a good amount of copper ore too, which is used for low level smelting.
I'm sure most of you guys have seen the dwarves and orcs
battling it out in Kharanos as well, which is an advantage because they fight
each other instead of you. When you arrive at this spot let the dwarves come to
you and then attack them as they pass by, once all the dwarves are killed wait
for the orcs to show up and kill them too. With this method you should be able
to get about 5-10 alloy plate in an hour which isn't half bad.
The next place is an area outside of Ogrimmar by the water, it's
a very small location but can net you some solid amount of alloy plate if
you're dedicated enough. You won't be able to kill dwarves or orcs here but if
you can manage to kill a few night elves that spawn by the water then it's
worth it.
The last place I'm going to mention is just outside of Orgrimmar
by the zepplins, this spot doesn't hold as much alloy plate as the others but
it's a great place to farm copper ore and leather. You can kill night elves by
using your trusted AoE abilities and make about 10-20 alloy plate in an hour.
I'm not going to list any locations for Alliance players because
most of them won't go past Ogrimmar, however there are some gathering
professions that can net you a lot of alloy plate if your gathering skill is
high enough. I hope this guide has been helpful and good luck getting that
level 100 blacksmithing!
The best place to farm Alloy Plate is in the Western Plaguelands
where the mobs are level 37-39. You can farm about 30 per hour or so with a bit
of AoE ability.
Most players at 70 already have the recipes they want to use, so
farming for it isn't necessary until you want to learn one that someone else
knows - then it might be more difficult. If you're still leveling up, then
Kharanos is your best bet. You can farm about 20-30 per hour and the base for
this spot is easy to get too, so you'll never run out of mobs.
Many of the Horde will go to Isendeep Mine to farm for various
ores and materials because it's a really easy place too get too. You can farm
about 15-20 per hour with a bit of AoE skill and the mobs don't hit hard.
where to farm alloy plate
The best place to farm Alloy Plate is in the Sorrowful Sound
area, specifically around the crashed Alliance ship. You'll find more than
enough of the mobs that drop Alloy Plate here, so this is your best bet if you
are still leveling up. Many of the Horde will go to Isendeep Mine to farm for
various ores and materials because it's a really easy place too get too. You
can farm about 15-20 per hour with a bit of AoE skill and the mobs don't hit
hard.
